Thymus Kotschyanus for Ulcerative Colitis

Thymus kotschyanus may improve inflammation in ulcerative colitis

A study in 2022 found that 500mg of Thymus kotschyanus daily significantly improved symptoms of ulcerative colitis (measured by SCCAI) and calprotectin compared to placebo over 12 weeks. Both the treatment and placebo groups were taking mesalazine as well. Thymus kotschyanus may cause digestive or other side effects.
