Direct Primary Care is a membership-based healthcare model independent of insurance. I do not bill through insurance. Patients communicate directly with their doctor for a more personalized, proactive and accessible model of healthcare. Visits are not rushed, you don’t get shuffled around with different medical providers, and you don’t have to wait months to see your doctor.

Direct primary care is about direct and accessible communication with your doctor to reduce the need for hospitalizations, urgent care or ER visits. A membership can also reduce specialist visits because you have more time with and easier access to your primary care physician. When you do need to see a specialist, we will refer you to your preferred specialist or local physicians we trust in a timely manner. Specialist opinions are also available electronically for an additional fee if desired.

While insurance is not required, you should still have insurance in case of emergency. Our clinic cannot replace an emergency room or hospital. Your insurance can still be used for referrals, medications, lab orders and additional testing.

You pay a monthly membership fee for primary care services. You communicate directly with me via phone or our patient portal. I am available during our office hours Monday through Friday 9AM to 4:30PM. For any issues after hours, please leave a voicemail or message me through the secure patient portal and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Emergency care should always be sought in the emergency room.

Starting January 1, 2026, you can use up to $150 of your HSA per month to pay for your monthly membership. This is new legislation signed into law by the federal government.
-
You can cancel your membership at anytime; we ask that you please give us 30 days written notice. If you decide to rejoin at a later time, you will be required to pay a one time fee (equal to your monthly membership fee) in addition to the regular monthly membership fee. This is to encourage continuity of care.
