Ceylon Cinnamon for Type 2 Diabetes
A 2025 study found that 500mg of Ceylon cinnamon daily significantly reduced fasting glucose, 3 month average glucose (HgbA1c), total cholesterol and LDL (low-density lipoprotein) compared to placebo over 4 months. The 250mg daily dose of Ceylon cinnamon also significantly reduced fasting glucose and 3 month average glucose (HgbA1c) compared to placebo. Cinnamon may cause nausea, acid reflux or other side effects.
