Ginger for Nausea & Vomiting in Pregnancy
A 2004 study found that 1.05g of ginger daily was equivalent to 75mg of vitamin B6 for reducing nausea and vomiting in the first trimester of pregnancy. The study lasted for 3 weeks. Ginger is thought to affect serotonin receptors related to nausea and vomiting. Ginger may cause digestive or other side effects.
